General Overview of Working Units and Faculties of IAIN Bone

The institutional structure of IAIN Bone is based on Regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs Number 37 of 2022 concerning Amendments to the Regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs Number 29 of 2018 on the Organization and Work Procedures of the State Islamic Institute of Bone, consisting of:

  1. Rector and Vice Rectors;
  2. Faculties;
  3. Postgraduate School;
  4. Bureau of General Administration, Academic Affairs, and Student Affairs;
  5. Institutes, and
  6. Technical Implementing Units.

The leadership elements of IAIN Bone consist of the Rector, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Institutional Development, Vice Rector for General Administration, Planning and Finance, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Collaboration, Head of the Bureau of General Administration, Academic Affairs, and Student Affairs, Head of the Institute for Research and Community Development, Head of the Institute for Quality Assurance, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Law, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Da‘wah, and Director of the Postgraduate School.

Faculties and Postgraduate School

The organizational structure of the Faculties consists of the Dean and Vice Deans, Study Programs, Laboratories, and Administrative Divisions/Subdivisions. IAIN Bone currently has four faculties: the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Law (FSHI) with three study programs, the Faculty of Education (FT) with six study programs, the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Da‘wah (FUD) with three study programs, and the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) with three study programs. To complement the undergraduate programs, since the 2013 academic year, IAIN Bone has opened a Postgraduate School which currently offers four Master’s programs and one Doctoral program.

1. Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM)

2. Institute for Quality Assurance (LPM)

  • Preparation of program plans and budget
  • Development of academic quality
  • Implementation of academic quality audits, monitoring, and assessment
  • Implementation of evaluation and reporting
  • Administrative implementation of the institute

3. Internal Supervisory Unit (SPI)

  • Preparation of financial and institutional supervision programs
  • Implementation of supervision and assessment in financial and institutional performance
  • Preparation and implementation of inspections for specific purposes
  • Preparation and submission of internal supervision reports
  • Implementation of other duties assigned by PTKN leadership

4. UPT Library

The Library Unit is responsible for delivering library services, development, cooperation, evaluation, and reporting. The unit is led by a Head appointed by the Rector and is accountable to the Vice Rector for General Administration, Planning, and Finance.

5. UPT Information Technology and Data Center

The Information Technology and Data Center Unit is responsible for managing and developing information systems and the data center. The unit is led by a Head appointed by the Rector and is accountable to the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Institutional Development.

6. UPT Language Center

The Language Center is responsible for conducting language training and development. It is led by a Head appointed by the Rector and is accountable to the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Institutional Development.

7. UPT Ma’had Al-Jami’ah

The Ma’had Al-Jami’ah Unit is responsible for providing services, guidance, and academic and character development of students based on pesantren traditions. The unit is led by a Head appointed by the Rector and is accountable to the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Institutional Development.
